Cancellation and deposit policies vary by the confirmed rate. The policies regarding your specific reservation are provided at the time the reservation is made. They are also provided with online, email or printed confirmations. Please contact us at 805-888-0158 or email [email protected] to receive additional information regarding your reservation.

Check-in for RV and tent sites begins at 1:00p.m. And check-in for cottages and Jupes begins at 4:00p.m. The check-out time for all reservations is 11:00a.m.

Depending on availability, our front desk may be able to arrange a late check-out. However, additional fees may apply. Please plan for a prompt departure to help us accommodate our next guests.

Flying Flags at Avila Beach’s quiet hour are 10p.m.–8a.m. Please be courteous to the guests around you. Profanity, violence towards others and destruction of property will not be tolerated. Loud, objectionable noise or amplified music is not allowed at any time. And inconsiderate guests will be asked to leave.

External generators are prohibited on property. Internal, manufacturer built, generators are allowed during the day between 8am and 10pm.

If you can't live without your creature comforts, feel free to bring a hot plate, utensils, plates and bowls. These are not supplied at our property.

Please report any lost or stolen items to the main office immediately. We recommend keeping valuables locked up at all times.

1. Turn on your computer, phone or tablet.
2. Enable your Wi-Fi adapter, and make sure it is turned on.
3. Connect to the Highway West Wi-Fi Network. You must create your own Username and Password before opening your browser.
4. Open your browser of choice (such as Safari or Chrome).
5. If the welcome page does not appear upon load, erase everything in the address bar and type: starttengointernet.com in the address bar.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to register and access the internet.
7. Log in and enjoy.

Smoking is prohibited on the entire property. Any violation of our smoking policy may result in a fine of up to $250.

Well behaved pets with current shot records are welcome! Please be sure to register all furry friends in your party at arrival. Guests are responsible for picking up after their pets. Please dispose of waste accordingly in a trash receptacle. 2 pets max. A one-time non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 per pet per reservation will apply for cottages and only dogs are permitted in the cottages. No pets allowed in Jupes. For the protection of, and in consideration of our guests, noisy, vicious or unruly pets are not allowed. Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the premises, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities. Exotic pets are strictly prohibited.

Unlicensed personal golf carts are prohibited; street-legal golf carts may be used in place of a personal vehicle. Gas-powered toys, quads, mini-bikes, and skateboards
are not permitted.

One sleeping unit and one passenger vehicle are allowed per site and must be parked completely on the site.
Extra vehicles may be registered for a fee subject to space availability.

Yes - but only in designated gas fire pits. Full Hook up RV sites and cottages have gas fired fire pits hooked up and ready to enjoy upon arrival. All other sites, please ask for availability of propane or fire pit rentals. Due to our location in a high-risk zone for wildfires, wood and charcoal burning is not permitted.

Visitors are welcome during non-quiet hours 8am-10pm. Additional vehicles subject to additional parking pass fees.

During your stay with us, you may display country, sport, and vacation flags. However, no flags containing profanity, hateful speech/symbols or confederate flags may be displayed while on property. Guests will be asked for these flags to be removed if they wish to continue their stay at Flying Flags Avila Beach.

When displaying the American Flag, please follow proper flag etiquette which can be found here Guidelines for Display of the Flag (va.gov).

3rd party RVs are not permitted; the guest staying in the RV must be the person driving in the RV.

You might have seen these large tents on property that we call Jupes.

These are spacious units that are 100+ square feet and include a queen-size bed with a Nectar mattress, high ceilings, birchwood flooring, and plenty of storage space. These are equipped with solar panels to generate power for USB charging stations, Wi-Fi network, electrical outlets, and dimmable LED lighting. Please note power is limited and not guaranteed, only suitable for charging devices. Windows open for ventilation and light (no air conditioning or heat), and the entryway with a cantilevered porch provides access to our Flying Flags community.

We've gone to great lengths to ensure that Flying Flags is equally accessible and fully enjoyable for all our guests. Our ADA-compliant property features include:

• ADA-accessible parking near our entrance
• Sufficient parking space to allow a ramp
• Ramp access at all entrances and exits
• Unobstructed pathways from the parking lot to the entrance
• Unobstructed pathways from all of the key points of interest within the hotel to any other key point of interest
• ADA-compliant walk-in showers with seats and adjustable shower heads in select units (call for details)

These policies are subject to change at the discretion of management. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Refusing to follow the park procedure and policies during your stay may result in being asked to leave without a refund.

Parking for 1 vehicle is included with RV sites, Jupes, Car-Tents and Cottages. All other vehicles will be an additional $10 per vehicle, per night and requires a parking pass. Walk-In Tent sites must purchase a pass for each vehicle, as they are not included in the price. Extra vehicles will need to utilize lined parking spaces on property.

Day Pass Parking:
$5 per, day only- no overnight usage, for visitors and beach use.
